The League Council approved the establishment of the organization based on the “Cairo Declaration” issued by the first Arab Women Summit Conference held in November 2000 and with a joint organization between the National Council for Women in Egypt, the Hariri Foundation in Lebanon and the League of Arab States. The agreement establishing the organization entered into force in March 2003.

From it emerge the Committee to Combat Violence against Women, the Legal and Communication Committee, the Sexual and Reproductive Rights Committee, and many other committees, and the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee, which is concerned with studies in the field and the reception of women victims of economic violence.

The Democratic Association of Moroccan Women (ADFM) is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit Moroccan women’s association established in June 1985 in Casablanca by a group of women from the Progress and Socialism Party, including Mrs. Nozha Skali and Mrs. Amina Lamrini.

It is based in Cairo and works to address all forms of discrimination against women and urges the legislative authorities to reconsider all legislation that contradicts international conventions related to women’s rights. It is a Palestinian feminist, mass, development, human rights and educational association that contributes to developing the struggle of Palestinian women in its national, social and developmental dimensions.

It is a voluntary social and cultural institution that was proclaimed by a ministerial decree on 19/2/1972. It seeks to advance Omani women in all social and cultural fields, and works to expand the base of voluntary women’s work numerically and geographically. It is based in the Wilayat of Bawshar in the Governorate of Muscat.

It is the first women’s association established in the UAE. It was established in 1967 AD and was announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in 1979 AD with the support and encouragement of the founder of the United Arab Emirates under the slogan of a bright future.

It is known by the acronym “CREDIF” and it is a specialized research center on women’s rights in Tunisia. Based on Law No. 78 of August 7, 1990, this center was established as a non-administrative public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs.

The Egyptian Women’s Issues Foundation is a non-governmental organization established in 1995 with the aim of providing legal support and assistance to Egyptian women. Its reference in its work is the constitution, Egyptian laws and international agreements.

Kafa Violence and Exploitation (KAFA) is a Lebanese civil, non-governmental, non-profit, feminist and secular organization that aspires to a society free from patriarchal and discriminatory social, economic and legal structures towards women. KAFA, since its establishment in 2005, seeks to eradicate all forms of gender-based violence and exploitation. It seeks the actual realization of gender equality.

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) is the first licensed non-profit shelter in the UAE for women and children victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. It was established in July 2007 to offer victims immediate protection and support services in accordance with international human rights obligations.

Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) was formed as a statutory body of Dubai Government in 2006 under law no.
