The work of the “Humanitarian Initiatives Forum” organized by the Arab Women Campaign was launched in the conference hall of the Maidan Hotel in Dubai. The forum included the participation of twenty girls and women from eighteen Arab countries, who participated in the qualifiers for the second season of the Queen of Social Responsibility program which is produced by the Arab Network for Shared Broadcasting in cooperation with Arab Women Campaign.
The opening ceremony of the forum included an honoring segment, during which Dr. Rehab Zain Al-Din, Arab Women’s Ambassador, honored HE Eng. Fathi Jabr Afana, Ambassador of the Arab Family Organization, H.E. Dirar Belhoul Al Falasi, Executive Director of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, and Salwa Al Rahma, owner of the Positive Ambassadors Initiative from the Emirates In addition to honoring the participants in the program and media organizations.
The events were opened with the exhibition “Pictures of Pioneers of Humanitarian Initiatives”, followed by a press conference, during which a film was shown about the “Arab Women’s Campaign, the stages of her career and the achievements she achieved”, and a film about the participants in the Queen of Social Responsibility Program, and another about the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, and a film about the ambassador of the Arab family, His Excellency Eng. Fathi Afaneh.
His Excellency praised this forum and all the targeted media programs and projects produced by the Arab Women Campaign. He also stressed that the leading role of the UAE in supporting humanitarian work is witnessed by all around the world, describing it as one of the most important countries in the world. He said that there is a growing tendency and a strong desire to provide support and assistance to others in the Arab world; the current CSR programs cover a wide range of activities and events organized by companies and institutions wishing to contribute to these activities, both with time and money for the benefit of many segments of our societies
