In an Arab achievement that is the first of its kind, the Jordanian journalist, Mustafa Salama, managed to break a record in the Guinness Book of World Records, as he is the first journalist to broadcast one program on 61 Arab channels at the same time. Subsequently, to 70 Arab channels, which include the most important governmental and private satellite stations in order to advocate for women issues.
It is worth noting that Salama, who is the Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Producers, President of the Arab Council for Tourism Media and CEO of the Arab Network for Shared Broadcasting, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the American University of Science and Technology in recognition of his media achievements in a ceremony held in the Emirate of Dubai last week.
It is noteworthy that Salama’s achievement in Guinness is not new in his media career, as he was the first person in the world to produce and implement a cartoon program broadcast on the air in 2001 on Dubai Channel entitled “Amazing Professor of Surprises” in addition to being a media advisor to three government agencies in the UAE starting in 1997.
He also established and implemented the largest campaign to advocate for women in the media in 2008, which is the White Hands campaign, from which emerges the Model Woman Program, the White Hands Drama Program, and the Women’s News Agency.
He also established eleven television channels, the most important of which were Infinity Channel, Deira Channel, Arab Travel Channel, Al-Sham Channel, in addition to managing the Arab Producers Forum, which was held under the auspices of the League of Arab States in 2008 and in the presence of Arab ministers of information and first-class stars in the Arab media. During his life, he received more than 500 certificates of appreciation in various media projects that he presented during his life’s journey, led by the award for best theater direction in 1991, in addition to the shield of excellence awarded to him by the Fifth Arab Producers Forum for his role in serving the Arab media
