In appreciation of her great giving and her lofty position in the hearts of all, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak was honored yesterday evening and announcing the granting of Her Highness the title “Mother of the Arabs” by the General Union of Arab Producers and the Arab Women Campaign, which are two of the organizations operating under the umbrella of the League of Arab States.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, announced the organization of the ministry in cooperation with the General Union of Arab Producers and the Arab Women Campaign, a major national ceremony on April 28, at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, to celebrate this title, and to celebrate the Arab League honoring Her Highness Sheikha Fatima
Sheikh Nahyan revealed during the press conference, which was held in his palace in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Dr. Maitha Al Shamsi, Minister of State, and Secretary General of the General Union of Arab Producers, Dr. Mustafa Salama, and the Ambassador of Arab Women, Dr. Rehab Zain Al Din, and a number of public figures and members of the diplomatic corps in the country. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, and as part of the celebration of this honor will organize intensive cultural, artistic and youth activities in all cultural centers, youth and girls centers in the country, all bearing the slogan “Mother of the Emirates”: You are the pride of the Arabs, and the glory of Arabism,” emphasizing the love and appreciation that all have for Her Highness, and to show the pride and the proud and to express thanks, praise and respect to Her Highness in this occasion.
He explained that the activities include creating a website for the occasion bearing the name and logo of “Mother of the Arab”. He also expressed his confidence that all activities would be a true embodiment of the expectations and ambitions of Her Highness (Mother of the Arabs), in deepening the spirit of loyalty, pride, and belonging to the homeland and the nation.
And at the same time, a celebration of the impressive and continuous achievements of Her Highness and her distinguished role in the process of successful social development, in society, the region, and indeed the whole world, and an expression of the great loyalty and the greatest sincerity that everyone bears for Her Highness (Mother of the Emirates) and (Mother of the Arabs).
He said: “With great happiness and great pride, I present to (Mother of the Arabs) today great salute, loyalty, pride and appreciation, hoping by doing so we can redeem a small part of her favors and also to show her high status, and her lofty position, in the hearts of everyone, young and old alike, while we celebrate Mother’s Day, we feel pride and proud that we also celebrate (Mother of the Arabs), because she is the lofty model of the ideal mother, the of great giver, the mother of unlimited achievement. She is the good role model for the Arab Muslim mother, as well as the example and model for a good and kind mother.
He pointed out that “Umm Al-Arab” has been able, through all its brilliant national, community and humanitarian activities, to extend a helping hand to all Arabs, everywhere, and to women in particular, throughout the world. And that is through lofty human values with which she supported all initiatives of goodness, development and giving, to serve the sons and daughters of this eternal nation, whether in the field of education, health, women’s renaissance, volunteer work, charitable work or anything that would develop the society and advance the country and the nation alike. He explained that the roles of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak began with the path of the late father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the state and the builder of its renaissance, and it is a process that is still continuing and expanding, thanks to the efforts of His Highness the Father Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, for the raising the building and the growth of the march.
Nahayan added: “Mother of the Arabs,” Your Highness is always in the hearts of all, a good role model and a unique and radiant model. We imitate Your Highness and follow your guidance; rather we learn a lot from your rich and generous march. May God always guide you to the path of goodness, and make your life a long one to achieve all that your generous soul aspires to of progress and prosperity for the homeland and the nation.
Dr. Maitha Al Shamsi, Minister of State, pointed out that Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak was and still is the mother of the Islamic and Arab worlds, as she feels the pain of any mother in both worlds, and is very keen to follow the path of women and their issues everywhere.
She explained that Her Highness’s humanitarian sense transcends the borders of geography and the borders of nations to reach the person himself anywhere in the world, and can be closely monitored in Her Highness’s many initiatives to advance the reality of women, through international, Arab and Gulf organizations, and her firm stances in supporting and backing Arab and the Muslim woman to achieve her rights, in addition to her many and multiple development projects in various parts of the Arab world and the world.
While the Secretary-General of the General Union of Arab Producers, Dr. Mustafa Salama, explained that the union, through its role in caring for civil society and Arab issues since its establishment, has decided to grant the title “Mother of the Arabs” to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, in appreciation of her great efforts in serving civil society, and her role Pioneering support for everything related to building the Arab human being, and implementing initiatives that aim to encourage and support community activities, and thus, with its Arab and international achievements, it is not only the mother of the Emirates, but the “mother of the Arabs” all. Pointing out that the General Union of Arab Producers has finally honored Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak with the Shield of Excellence during the official ceremony held by the Union in Cairo on February 25 last under the slogan “Thank you Emirates”.
For her part, the Arab Women’s Ambassador, Dr. Rehab Zain Al-Din, said that the Arab Women Campaign looks with great interest to the great achievements made and realized by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in supporting and empowering women everywhere, and Her Highness was and still is a good role model for Arab and Emirati women. We follow her, and learn from her long and generous march, not only because she is the mother of the Emirates, but also because of Her Highness’s many achievements, and her continuous giving extends in the heart of every woman in our Arab world, and from here we have decided in the Arab Women’s Campaign and the General Union of Arab Producers to give Her Highness the title of « The mother of the Arabs.
