The Cairo Mondial for Artistic Works and Media, which was held in Cairo recently, awarded the Star of Civil Society Award to the Arab Women’s Ambassador to the Media, Rehab Zain El-Din, who said she was proud of this title and happy with the award given to her by Dr. Ibrahim Abu Zekry, head of the General Union of Arab Producers.
Rehab Zein El-Din expressed her thanks and gratitude to the management of the Cairo World Cup of Art and Media for this honor, and added that this honor is not personal, but rather to the team of the Arab Women Campaign headed by Dr. Mustafa Salama, Secretary-General of the General Union of Arab Producers, With whom I had the honor to establish this campaign to bear upon ourselves and with the support of all serious media institutions in providing media worthy of Arab women and supporting their causes under the slogan “One media for women.” Zain El-Din also added that this award is not an honor, but rather an assignment that increases our responsibility towards what we do in the service of Arab women.
For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Abu Zekry stated that the decision of the world Cup management to award Rehab Zain al-Din this award came in appreciation of her great efforts in supporting Arab women’s issues and working to improve her image in the media through the Arab Women’s Campaign led by Zain al-Din since 2008 until now. Remembering that the media has a desired role, which is to present the Arab woman in her true image, and the concern for women comes from the point of emphasizing the role that women play in the nation of one future.
It is noteworthy that the Arab Women Campaign announced during the press conference held in Cairo on November 24, 2014, in the presence of Arab artist Duraid Laham, the launch of a new television program entitled “The Queen” next to the “Women First” program recently launched by the campaign, in order to complement the campaign’s role in highlighting models Women in more than one Arab environment
