Ammon News Jordan: In a major media event that brought together the stars of the first row of media, stars, official figures and Arab Ministers of Information, the Fifth Arab Producers Forum, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, under the auspices of the Arab Media League, granted Rehab Zain Al-Din, Ambassador of White Hands, the title of Ambassador of Arab Women.
\nThis title came as a tribute to her for the overall work she has done during the past four years to support and empower Arab women, setting a precedent that is considered the first of its kind in the Middle East.
\nShe is the one who devoted all her attention to establishing the largest media campaign to advocate for women’s issues, the “White Hands Campaign”, which was able to reach the world level by entering its program “The Model Woman” in the Guinness Book of World Records with the journalist Mustafa Salama, the general coordinator of the campaign.
\nZain Al-Din expressed her happiness with this title and said that it puts on me a new responsibility to move forward in providing media work that supports Arab women.
\nShe also pointed out that the UN reports present a bitter reality about the problems and pressures that Arab women are exposed to, making her top the list of global statistics in her exposure to many obstacles. Zain El-Din described that Arab women are still suffering from violence and harassment, and the lack of their right to work and contribute with men in building a developmental society that serves future generations.
\nIt is noteworthy that the \u201cWhite Hands Campaign\u201d was launched in 2008 during the activities of the Fourth Arab Producers Forum under the auspices of the League of Arab States, which is the first campaign to invest in the media to serve women\u2019s issues. She launched her first television project, “The Model Woman”, which honored 240 Arab women and was broadcasted on seventy television channels over forty weeks.
\nForm his part, the Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Producers – General Coordinator of the Media Campaign, Mustafa Salama, said that the title of Arab Women’s Ambassador to the Media, Rehab Zain Al-Din, is the best honor for her role in serving the “White Hands Campaign” projects.
