The Queen Program is the first Arab television competition program looking for the Queen of Social Responsibility which was announced through the Arab Women Campaign, through a press conference held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Movenpick Hotel in 6th of October City during the activities of the World Cup in Cairo for Art and Media 2014 and in the presence of Dr. Ibrahim Abu Zekry, President of the General Union of Arab Producers and in presence of the guest of honor for the World Cup the Arab star Duraid Laham, and Arab Women’s Ambassador, Dr. Rehab Zain El-Din, Secretary General of the General Union of Arab Producers and Dr. Mustafa Salama and a large number of male and female media professionals interested in women’s issues.
This program aims to provide purposeful and constructive media to shed light on the role of Arab women and social responsibility towards the issues of Arab societies and the volume of humanitarian, social and voluntary efforts in which they serve multiple segments as self-initiatives stemming from them to serve community issues which urges the importance of the role that women play in serving and supporting multiple segments from the society groups that deserve humanitarian support, such as the elderly and persons with special needs, orphans, cancer patients and other humanitarian cases, or raising the cultural and awareness level for many societal issues whose social conditions differ according to the economic, political and social situation in their societies in which women can contribute to as an intellectual and social part that plays a major role in embracing humanitarian and social issues, and this is what this program seeks to achieve by presenting women’s initiatives according to their voluntary and societal interests in their communities, thus contributing to creating a social environment that transmits many social and cultural values that urges on human and social solidarity in light of the dominance of the culture of technological and cultural openness and its effects that follow from satellite channels promotion of a western culture that has offended the image of women and youth, and presenting lyrical and dancing experiences that has no positive impact on society. May be the chance is here for the solidarity of many targeted and positive media means to shed light on meaningful community initiatives and issues in light of openness and the current political conditions, which need to unite the roles of Arab women and to invest their energy, thinking and their culture to serve the community.
These Arab women’s programs and campaigns face many challenges in light of the transformations of society because they conflict with the ambition and goals of those who use women and youth as a commodity to achieve their material ambitions and to market the largest possible profit through which they are self-interested, yet they need a media and unified stand in order to strive for what our societies transcend of dignity and advancement of Arab women intellectually and socially.
It is worth mentioning here that the Arab Women Campaign was launched by the General Union of Arab Producers during the Fourth Arab Producers Forum which was held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in 2008. The campaign recorded a record in the Guinness Book of World Records through the Model Woman Program in 2010.
Since its establishment, the Arab Women Campaign has presented many projects aimed at improving the image of Arab women under the slogan (One Media for Women). Today, the Queen of Responsibility Program comes as the first Arab format for a program in which participants compete to present success stories in the service of social responsibility through a competition that ends with one of the participants being crowned with the title of Queen (Social Responsibility).
A group of media institutions that believe in the role of media in serving civil society and highlighting all social initiatives from an angle that contributed to the structure of their social communities and creates generations with a great deal of social responsibility that contribute to building a healthy society primarily through high-end media that is used in a healthy manner in the structure of society had participated in the program, and therefore salute to everyone who seeks to create a media and social environment for our Arab and Gulf societies, and the need for everyone to unite through these constructive ideas and pioneering initiatives.
It is not hidden from us the size of the efforts made by the State of Qatar, leadership and officials, to spread all the concepts and values of social and community responsibility through its 2030 development vision and the solidarity of civil society institutions. It has a great leadership in this field at the international and local levels. Women played a prominent media, social and voluntary role on the global scene.

Qatar Sharq 24 May 2016 Moza Al Ishaq.
