This culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the “White Hands” and the “Enough Violence” campaign, which was launched by Alan channel and supports women against violence in its various forms.
The “Five Senses” approached the two campaigns to know their goals, results and their impact on society in the following lines..*** Perseverance and determination ***Mustafa Salama, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Producers, did not hide his belief that these campaigns will have an effective impact on women’s lives to light their way towards a better tomorrow. He expected that within 10 years, these campaigns will achieve a large part of their goals, and will change many laws that stand in their way. About the tangible results that have occurred regarding the presentation of the “White Hands” campaign, he says: Today we are living the first case of its kind in presenting a television program on a large group of channels in one day, if we assume that 80 million Arabs are watching the program, then we expect it to affect the lives of many women, which is a add in itself. He adds: I was greatly affected when I watched an 87-year-old woman, who started her scientific life after the age of 40, I was impressed by the determination and perseverance she has, which motivates women to do the things they dreamt of, noting that there are many programs that will be presented under the umbrella of the White Hands campaign next to the “model woman” program. » Including meetings with first ladies across the Arab countries.
Not only to shed light on them, but to try to change some laws, as well as establishing a specialized news agency for women and a creative team that gives students the opportunity to produce documentaries that serve the cause of women. As for the reasons for choosing the name “White Hands” for the campaign, he said: This name has been associated with donations and because we believe that it will have an effective impact on society.
Advertising commodity
The media, Rehab Zain Al-Din, the ambassador of the White Hands, believes that women have not obtained their full rights. So far, their role has been marginalized in political life, and some look at them in an inferior manner, in addition to exploiting them in the name of freedom and trading their body to become an advertising commodity on products and magazine covers. She pointed out that every woman deserves to be a role model for others to follow, so we present through this campaign and through the “model woman” program some cases that have been able to overcome their difficult circumstances and achieve their dreams.
Crimes of Honor
Media women, Amira Al-Fadel, addresses her audience through the “Amira” program, which dives into the details of her life and highlights the bright and painful aspects, but yet she is not satisfied with that, as she dreams of a society free of violence.
Therefore, she did not hesitate to adopt the “Enough Violence” campaign, calling for an end to the oppression of women, she was astonished that we live today in the twenty-first century and there is still Crimes of Honor and still women being beaten cruelly without mercy forgetting that women are the mothers, the wives, the sisters and the friend.
She adds: I am honored to be the media face to represent Al-Aan channel in the Model Woman program, and through this I aspire to display and disseminate the campaign messages “White Hands” and “Enough Violence” on the widest scale in the Arab world, and we will work on following up and shedding light on the activities of the “Model Woman” program » through our educational and awareness programs on Alan channel
Supporting the Women’s March
While Rola Debs, the official spokeswoman for Al-Aan channel, confirms that they give special attention to woman in the station and highlight its successes and contribution in the development of society. Among the most important of these participations in this regard is the breast cancer awareness campaign that the channel initiated in 2007.
The breast cancer awareness campaign hosted specialists and doctors to raise women’s awareness of the dangers of the disease. She adds: We wanted to support and help women by launching the “Amira” program and linking and promoting the White Hands and Enough Violence campaigns to support her struggle.
Parliament of Arab Women” coming soon to satellite channels
Media woman, Rehab Zain Al-Din, the ambassador of the white hands, believes that we need to unite the media institutions that have turned into commercial institutions and the Ministry of Education, which is supposed to issue new curricula that include how to respect women in the society that oppresses woman in order to advance such Concept.
She said: Enough of superficial programs on which millions are spent and that only care about dancing and singing, directed at destroying our minds and influencing our youth in a negative way. Unfortunately, good examples are absent from our youth, even art no longer simulates the real issues that women suffer from, on the contrary, it has become used as a commodity destined for trade in her body.
And she continues: I watched on YouTube a singing group dressed in a committed dress and presenting fine art, and at that time I wondered: why did singing transforms from presenting a beautiful voice to presenting the body of a woman whose charms unconsciously stand out.
And about the things that the goodwill ambassador is supposed to do, she says: There are several issues that society suffers from, and each ambassador has his role in trying to solve these problems and stand on them according to his principles, his upbringing and his view of things.
I am amazed at the great difference between what a goodwill ambassador in the West does and what a goodwill ambassador in the East does. As Western stars and media people have serious interests in charitable and social activities, we find that those principles are absent from the Arab stars, as they consider charitable and social activities a kind of honor and media show, and is satisfied with the title of “His Excellency the Goodwill Ambassador” without realizing that it serves humanitarian causes, but rather the opposite.
This title comes to the stars adding to his credit and bragging about it most of the time, with the release of a “charity” statement here or there without any action on the ground, noting that we only take negative things from the West, such as exaggerated liberation, leaving the positive points behind us and not caring about it. Revealing that this title she had received is a mandate and not an honor, as she is one of the founders of the White Hands campaign, pointing out that the campaign will need a lot of time to achieve its goals. She also announced that soon the “Arab Women’s Parliament” will be announced.
Events
Combating violence against women
Channel “Al-Aan” devotes a huge campaign to combat violence against women, where it highlights the manifestations of violence against women in general in its various forms, through realistic interviews, live reports and statistics, and interviews with activists in associations concerned with women’s issues and affairs, as well as dialogues with psychiatrists and social workers during the “My House” program, “Tonight”, “more than one title” and daily reports in the news bulletins.
Women’s issues
In a media initiative that is the first of its kind in the Arab world and the world, the Union of Arab Producers for Television Works, which operates through the Council of Arab Information Ministers and under the umbrella of the League of Arab States and during the activities of the Fourth Arab Producers Forum from 15 to 17 December 2008 and In cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund, launched the largest media campaign that invests in audio-visual and print media to shed light on women’s issues in the Arab world.

Al Bayan Emirati newspaper, April 22, 2010 Perhaps it is time for the media and the Union of Arab Producers to unite to embrace women’s issues and remove injustice away from women through the “White Hands” campaign broadcasted by more than 65 Arab stations, to address cultural sensitivities in dealing with women and focus on […]

[78

post-2918","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-78
["GET
